A few lines of clean thinking
Climate changes, species becoming extinct, polluted soil, rivers and lakes - all of these eco issues make more Bulgarians think about the effect their actions have on nature. Because when we lose the sense, we lose not only nature, but lose everything. The new way of life replaces the old saying “My home is my fortress”. Our home no longer starts with the mat and ends with the balcony; it stretches far beyond the cramping panel frames. Our home is in everything around us - our street, neighborhood, city, country. And you do not throw away your fag-ends on the carpet, do you?
Man is a single reasonable unit, but fortunately, living in a social environment. This is the answer to the question how my personal responsibility towards nature will give positive results sooner: when my actions are also the actions of everyone else.

GLOBUL Green is the first of its kind long-term ecological strategy focused on the implementation of practical solutions of environment protection issues:
- Recycling of mobile phones, batteries (without alkaline ones) and accessories for mobile phones
- Responsible usage of energy and other resources and materials
- Support to a Public ecological projects
The beginning
The first step of GLOBUL Green campaign that started at the beginning of November 2008, is the recycling of mobile phones, batteries (without alkaline ones), cables and accessories for mobile phones, which you probably wonder where to throw away. Perhaps you are not aware of the fact that such products should be thrown away and processed according to strict rules. If thrown in nature, they can cause great harm - besides the fact that they are not decomposable, they poison the soil as well. For instance, if you throw away your battery, it could pollute up to 600 000 liters of water - enough to provide for all the needs of a 4-member Mozambique family for… 102 years. On the other hand old mobile devices and accessories contain plastics and precious materials such as gold, silver, and platinum. Their extraction would decrease the world resources consumption.
How to go green
Go to the nearest GLOBUL or GERMANOS store and look for the special mobile devices disposal containers. Put your mobile phone and/or accessories and you will receive the special GLOBUL Green bracelet - a clear mark that you are a supporter of the green idea. And if you buy something from the store - even better for the nature: since June 2008 all plastic bags have been replaced with degralen ones, that decompose in nature conditions for 24 months. For all curious people: it takes more than… 200 years for a plastic bag to decompose.
Responsible, more responsible, the most responsible!
After old mobiles and accessories recycling, GLOBUL Green addresses the responsible resource consumption.
Paper first: GLOBUL has already started an internal initiative for responsible paper usage. All corporate divisions are encouraged to decrease usage and re-use paper, as well as recycle all paper waste.
All useless IT equipment has been donated for years now in order to ensure its re-use.

I’ll wait for you in the park
GLOBUL team will take an active part in cleaning of parks, renewing rest places, as well as other initiatives of the international eco-organization WWF. GLOBUL will also partner WWF in the National Nature Parks Day project by supporting the cleaning of the 11 Bulgarian national parks.
