GLOBUL takes environmental sustainability consultant

GLOBUL and the consultants from denkstatt Bulgaria will work in partnership to minimize the operator’s activities impact on the environment within the framework of the GLOBUL Green sustainable development strategy.
GLOBUL is the first company in Bulgaria to employ a consultancy company in order to integrate the environment in its business strategy and in each activity, seeking measurable changes.
GLOBUL’s priority will be establishing an effective system to manage the business processes that have impact on the environment. In order to do that, the operator plans to implement the international standard ISO 14001 which sets requirements and recommendations to the environmental management system in terms of measurement, reporting and minimizing the company’s ecological footprint.
denkstatt Bulgaria is the first consultancy in Bulgaria which offers corporate sustainability strategies to companies and organizations. The consultant will be actively involved in the preparation process for GLOBUL’s ISO 14001 certification by assisting the analysis of different aspects of the operator’s business and is to recommend relevant steps in each of the operator’s divisions in order to introduce environmentally sustainable practices.
Corporate experience of the other companies in the COSMOTE Group will also be applied and adapted to local challenges in the process of preparing specific proposals for changing the organization of GLOBUL business-processes and operations.
GLOBUL’s decision to work with a consultant aims to continue the development of the GLOBUL Green strategy and to strengthen the company’s leading position in applying ecologically sustainable practices in Bulgaria. The expected changes will allow the company to move on to operating business in a new way that would address pending environment issues and would focus on long-term sustainability.
